I was reading a diary. It stated that he who persist will be saved. How do you do it – persist. I thought about urinating in public. Perhaps a strong thought but thinking about persisting the following became clear to me.

Our body is built in such a way that toxics which enter our body are removed. We go to the toilet and in this way the toxics leave our body. And sometimes we have to go so earnestly that it does’t concern us where we go, as long as we can urinate, even if it is along the highway on a parking place or a somewhere a small bush.

But how is it spiritually? Every day we get impressions, images that we see, we receive, and things we hear. When we receive the wrong impressions, what do we do with them? Are we as driven to get rid of them as we are when we have to urinate? Or do we keep them for ourselves? Do we keep the impression in our minds so they can poison all the healthy things in our lives/thoughts?

When our kidneys are disfunctioning we poison ourselves en we will die eventually. Spiritually is this the same, when we don’t get rid of the poison in our life we will die spiritually eventually, we poison our thoughts with the wrong impressions.

A friend lately told me the following: it is essential that we drink a lot to have our kidneys function at the best. This is spiritually the same. To remove the poison from your thoughts you have to drink a lot of Living Water, fill yourself with the Word of God en his Holy Spirit.

Luckely we have a place where we can cleanse ourselves, our thoughts.

Hebr. 10:22 tells us “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
