Yesterday I saw a souvenir in my room with a brick of the wall that stood between the east and the west of Europe. The text on it said “Die Stunde der Freiheit” (The hour of freedom)

Do you have a souvenir of your hour of freedom?

Or are you not free jet?

Soon, with Easter in sight, this determines to real freedom, not a wall of bricks, concrete or barbed wire that is removed but a wall that is between us and God. Jesus Christ is crucified to remove that wall, to forgive our sins. But you have to accept it, you have to accept the offer of Jesus.

And is all allright then? When the wall in Berlin was removed were all people changed in a moment? They were free but had to learn to live in that freedom, an piece by piece that goes better. This way it is also when you convert to Christ, you have to learn to live in the freedom that you’ve received, with trial and error.

And what about the souvenirs? They will come: your baptism, an encouragement, a text from the scripture, . . . .

I wish you a blessed Easter, that you may experience the freedom through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus.
