In a time where stars are given warnings and signs of doom times I want to share the following with you.

During the last holiday I walked outside under a clear sky. I saw the stars and thought about the story of God to Abraham. God tells Abraham to look at the stars and promises that his offspring would be as many as the stars in the sky. And while thinking this I thought: If Abraham would look nowadays it would look as if Gods promise would be much less because of the light pollution. Because of the light pollution you see less stars than the time Abraham looked up, there was hardly any light pollution then.

I was determined that this could be also our circumstance. Is what we see really what we see. Or are the things we see influenced and less visible by other ‘lights’ around us. Perhaps we should dim the other lights and focus us on what God tells us in the Bible to get us a clear vision on the promises God gives us. Just as we see the stars better when there is no other light around us we should stay in a place where only the light of God is.
